Open the Dynamic Stocking Suggestion window.
This report calculates the dynamic stocking suggestions. The report looks at the sales history of a part, and then determines a minimum and maximum value based on that history. Once the report is run, you can use the Calculate Plan By SKU function, on the Requisition Worksheet, to determine if you need to plan for inventory.
You also have the ability to schedule the report by adding it to the job queue entries. When creating the job queue entry, follow the steps in the How to: Create Job Queue Entries and use 23025000 as the Object ID to Run.
In order to use this report, you must have done the following:
- Cleared the Use Full Dynamic Stocking Calculations checkbox on the Replenishment tab on the Parts Setup window
- Created a Stocking Template
- Selected a value for the Stocking Template Code field on the part's Stockkeeping Unit Card. The selected stocking template determines if the Report Point field or Safety Stock Quantity field is populated when the report is run.
When the report is run, the following fields on the Stocking FastTab are populated on a part's Stockkeeping Unit Card:
- Safety Stock Quantity: This field is populated with the value from the Current Min. Stock field if the associated Stocking Template code has a value of Safety Stock in the Min Value Is field.
- Reorder Point: This field is populated with the value from the Reorder Point field if the associated Stocking Template code has a value of Reorder Point in the Min Value Is field.
- Maximum Inventory: This field is populated with the value from the Current Max. Stock field.
